March 30, 2009 by pugspot

One of our most popular articles so far, as been “Grieving the Loss of Your Pug.”  Because of the huge response to it, we have decided to start a new category in the Forums, devoted to those who have had a pug pass away.  It is a great opportunity to talk about your sweet put and also to encourage others who are going through the same thing.

Puggie Pacifiers

March 8, 2009 by pugspot

Ok, so I’m not talking about the real baby pacifiers, but what really pacifies your pug and makes them calm down?  You know, the complete chill where they will roll on their back and stretch out for a belly rub?

Our two are suckers for the little space heater.  It doesn’t really matter if it is cold or not, they just love the warmth and maybe even the hum of the machine?

We’ve used this more than once just to get them to calm down and drown out a little noise, so that they can chill and relax.

Don’t they look comfortable?!?!

Lazy

Slumber Party

March 5, 2009 by pugspot

Do you let your pug sleep with you?  Or rather, does your pug “allow” you to sleep with him? haha

There is a great thread going on in the forums with different views on this subject.

We don’t let our pugs sleep with us because they snore too loud and I don’t like all of the shedding!

Crazy Dance

February 18, 2009 by pugspot

Do your pugs ever do a sort of crazy run-in-circles kind of thing like Mischa does in this video?  Our Baxter does it when he is feeling crazy and we never know when its going to happen, so we’ve never gotten it on video.

He will arch his back up, tuck his tail, his tail will uncurl and he will run in circles like a crazy pug.  It is quite funny and I never knew that other pugs did this until I saw Mischa’s video.  So funny!

Social Pugs

February 16, 2009 by pugspot

How do your pugs relate to other dogs or people?  When we take our two to the nearby dog park, they seem to stick close to us and don’t interact much with the other dogs.  They have never had a bad experience, but I just think they aren’t adventurous.

When we just had Baxter, he had no problem sniffing other dogs and trotting alongside them, but once we got Sofia, they became each other’s security blanket!

We have never experienced our pugs being aggressive like someone mentioned in the forums.  Have you?  What did you do to fix this behavior problem?

I think most pugs don’t have issues with being around humans.  As we all know, pugs really are human, right?? :)
